With all that is going on in the world these days, you could be forgiven if you haven’t.
Who actually feels like going to the shops and looking for gifts now, especially since a lot of stores are not that well stocked lately?
Consider buying your Mother’s Day gifts online this year. Dealing with busy malls or shopping centres and queues has always been inconvenient, but now it’s also potentially hazardous. Online shopping is a good way to minimise contact with strangers and save yourself a shopping trip.
If your mom, or other ladies you plan on gifting, are vulnerable and you can’t or don’t want to visit in person, or they stay far away, no problem. Most e-commerce sellers give you the option of ordering and paying in your name, then having the items you bought delivered to another person, anywhere in the country.
We had a look online and found three suppliers worth checking out so far. We’ll keep looking for other good places to buy Mother’s Day gifts online and update this post as we find them.
NetFlorist – Always a popular choice for buying gifts and flowers. They have a dedicated Mother’s Day page on their website with links to suitable products and categories (you’ll find it under the Occasions tab).

Flowers.co.za – We couldn’t find a specific Mother’s Day page, but we did find a couple of themed offerings, Mother’s Day Spoils and Mother’s Day Pamper (find them by searching on the word “mother” once you are on the website. When we browsed the site, we found a host of other products that would make great Mother’s Day gifts, so have a look around and see if you find something you like.

ProGifts – Also no sign of a dedicated Mothers Day gifting page, but there are a lot of nice gifts, flower arrangements, and hampers on the site so it’s worth a look to see if you can find something suitable.
